PLANNED FEATURES FOR FUTURE VERSIONS OF NATTERCHAT

This list is things that we hope to incorporate into the chat system. They are written in the order they will be implemented

Profiles - Each user will be able to create their own profile for other users to see.

Admin Extra - the ability to create Chat moderators and administrators. Ban and kick people. Ban and kicking users will be by IP, or username. To find a users IP there will be a admin feature \ip (username) which will only de displayed on a admins screen. There will also be more control over chat as a whole from the admin section.

Buddy List - create your list of online mates and know whether they are online as you log in, and when they log in! Also the ability to send private offline messages to people on your list and have them recieve them when they login.

Room Update - allow more than principal room that is not deleted by houseclean.

Private Rooms - the ability to create a room which is not visible to chat users. You must therefore invite a user to your room.

Extra Rooms - the option of creating date limited rooms. Rooms will appear within a set time limit or date limit. Also chat rooms for guest chats. The users form a que and when it is their turn they ask a question to the guest, which is then answered.

Users Preferences - These have been slighly implemented for 1.12, however they are only session variables and need to be set in each chat session. Here we will code it into the DB so they are remebered for each chat session. There will be a lot more preferences appearing in this version. A fully customizable chat experience that is remembered!!!

Customizable Swear List - Can edit the list of swear words to eliminate with the filter, more neccesary with the implementation of multiple languages in 1.12

SQL Support - 1.12 should run msSQL but mySQL may not work. Also users need to create the tables themselves in SQL. 1.2 will do all this for you and will work fully under my and ms SQL.

Customizable CSS File - Put this into the Database and allow full editing of it by admins, including adding new attributes.

Private Messages - If the other user closes their PM window, when you send a new msg it will pop open a new window for them to carry on the conversation.

My status - you can change your status to 'be right back', 'away', 'on phone' etc. With each one having a altered auto log off time

Tool Tips - if the admin sets the feature on there will be tips and info appearing on the form panel on each reload. These tool tips will be held in the database that can also be updated by the admin.

Detailed Registration - The user provides more details upon registration, and can change these details, including their password.
